Brewing The Perfect Cup of Coffee
Avid coffee lovers from around the world will tell you brewing the perfect cup of coffee depends on the coffee drinker's personal taste. Gourmet coffee that is sourced from small family-farms and estates, and roasted in small batches, has a complex coffee flavor profile, that bring forth different flavor notes of chocolate, earthy, spicey, floral, sweet, much like a fine wine.
Barkin Buddha Java is a Gourmet coffee and is air roasted in small batches, when the customer places their order, ensuring the freshest coffee is delivered to their front door.
Our Barkin Buddha Java Team has come up with a formulation on brewing your perfect cup of coffee.
Water:
Coffee is 98% water; the majority of coffee drinkers use cold tap water. With that in mind highly chlorinated water will cause your coffee to taste bitter, and water from a reverse osmosis system, or water softener will have flat taste. True coffee coinsures will use a quality bottled water.
Ground Coffee to Water Ratio:
2 Tablespoons of ground coffee to 6 fluid ounces of water, you can adjust the ratio depending on your personal taste.
Brew Times:
Automatic coffee makers generally take 8 - 10 minutes for a full 10-ounce pot of coffee.
French Press: 4-5 minutes depending on personal taste.
Pour Over: 3-4 minutes for a 6-ounce cup of coffee
To ensure the freshest coffee each time you brew your perfect cup of coffee, store your coffee beans or grounds in an airtight container, in a cool dry place such as your kitchen pantry, or cupboard. Avoid storing in clear plastic or glass container where your coffee bean is exposed to sunlight causes oxidation and effects the taste of your coffee, never store your coffee beans or ground coffee in the freezer or refrigerator, the cold temperature and moisture will also affect the taste of the coffee.
